brought me to tears buthaina, thank you so much for writing this 🤍 bit tangential but i know growing up in arab/muslim household pursuing a career path other than the standard doctor/lawyer/engineer is usually met with a lot of concern and questioning but this exactly proves why we need to be in the humanities, in political science, in international relations; i am so glad there is someone like you in the position to educate the younger generations so that we don’t continue to blindly repeat these horrendous cycles of the past. sending you lots of love 🕊️
